Sept 14 - 18 MACRO DATA IMPACTING ASIA

Expect a cautious start to the week ahead of interest rate decisions this week; FOMC on Wednesday, Japan’s BoJ, Taiwan’s CBRC  and the UK’s BoE on Thursday.  Rate changes are not expected but news of more easing or other measure to support the economic recovery will be watched for.  Also investors will watch for news of a new stimulus package from the US; if the parties can agreed one.

US retail sales and business inventories Wednesday.
CHINA had good loans data after market Friday +VE but on Monday we get House Price Index data (expected to be steady). Then on Tuesday Retail Sales, Unemployment and Industrial Production data. Also the Transport Ministry has called a meeting with container shipping companies which could be -VE for the sector.
